Launch Default PDF Viewer

[ Edited ]

How do I launch the default PDF viewer?

Would something like this work?

ApplicationManager.getApplicationManager().launch("file:///SDCard/BlackBerry/documents/docname.pdf" );

Re: Launch Default PDF Viewer

BlackBerry handhelds do not have a local native application to view PDF files stored on the BlackBerry handheld itself.  They can view PDF files opened from a web site using the BlackBerry Browser or when sent as email attachments.

Re: Launch Default PDF Viewer

I could open the PDF files via Blackberry Browser, But I couldn't get original quality and size of the PDF. And One more problem is I conn't view the TIFF file via Blackberry Browser, I appreciate your replay.

Re: Launch Default PDF Viewer

So WHICH browser?

There are 3 browsers

Internet, Bell Mobile, and Hotspot browser.

I've had many blackberries, for years.

NONE has ever shown a PDF off a webite.

I have -TWO- brand new Bold 9700's - and THEY STILL DON'T show PDF's off web sites.

I RUN private websites with PDF's, and I have to ask my clients to EMAIL ME confidential files because I can't see them on the web!

PLEASE DO describe how the "browser" displays PDFs.

Many thanks.
