MetaDataControl help needed.

Hi All,

I am getting an Image file with PNG extension from online handler and saving it locally on the device. I need to check the Date in the MetaData of the saved image to check next time that whether image is already up to date and if not I will re-download the image. Problem is that I am not getting Meta Data information.

The code is as follow,

HelperClass tmpHelper = new HelperClass();
EncodedImage encImage = tmpHelper.GetImage("file:///store/home/user/OnlineImages/Rainbow.png);

MetaDataControl meta = encImage.getMetaData();

String[] keys = meta.getKeys();

String metaDate = meta.getKeyValue("date");

When I check the count of the keys then it is 11. There is key named "date" present in the keys collection as I have checked it. But metaData is always null. I don't know why. The application that I am making is also developed for another platform and the metadata is successfully retrieved there.

I have searched a lot about this on google and also on this forum but there is not a single thing to help me with this.
