Re: Null Pointer Exception in Native Task Application....

What data are you working with?  Are you saying that you are only getting a single record returned, regardless of how many calendar entries there are?  Or do you mean you are just only getting the first instance of the recurrence?

Note that the recurrence must fall within your search times.  Therefore if an event occurrs4 times but only once in your time period used in EventList.items only one instance of that event.

Re: Null Pointer Exception in Native Task Application....

Mark, just try this...

1. Create an alldayevent with recurrence daily.

2. Now put the code i sent u and put it in a loop where u incremement the calendar object DAY_OF_MONTH.

you will see the items function will return for the first day but wont return for the next.

Re: Null Pointer Exception in Native Task Application....

The first character is always passed in on a SureType BlackBerry.  It is up to your application to choose the appropriate letter.  For example, you could capture the second key if the user presses the same key in rapid success (like double tap).  You can use the Keypad class to determine the type of keyboard the BlackBerry has.

Re: Null Pointer Exception in Native Task Application....

Thanx for the update Mark... will try it and let u know...

Meanwhile i have some problem with Making my application connect to the Internet... As far as possible 3rd party applications use deviceside=true for TCP/IP & deviceside=false for BES ... is there any way to detect on what they are...

Second Question is how come GoogleTalk & Yahoo work without an APN setting on the AdvancedOptions side... Is there a way to read it from the service book entries...
