PhoneLogs.deleteCall does nothing?

Hi -

I'm trying to make a call and then delete the call from call history. I'm making this call:
PhoneLogs.getInstance().deleteCall(0,PhoneLogs.FO LDER_NORMAL_CALLS);

No exceptions happen...but then, nothing happens either. Any suggestions on what to do?

Thanks

Hi,

Try debugging and see what it happens in the background - list all logs then delete one and the list all logs again. This should show you the difference. I think the problem is that the BB Phone application has some special way to show the logs(by date, last, etc. ) not just list all of the logs. So the idea is the it just seems that it doesn't work, but it really works if you look at the phonelog data directly, at least this was the problem in my case.

However, it seems that there is still a bug. The phone log in the phone app isn't refreshed after the changes are made..

What BlackBerry model and handheld software version are you testing on?  This can be found under Options, About on the BlackBerry.

Re: PhoneLogs.deleteCall does nothing?

Hi,

I'm seeing the same issue with the deleteCall method.  I've set up a PhoneLogListener to delete new Call logs as they come in.  The code is called, and the listener picks up a callLogRemoved event, however when I go into the phone log the entry is still there.

I'm testing on an 8320 Using firmware version 4.2.2.171.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Re: PhoneLogs.deleteCall does nothing?

Thank you for the information, I have been able to reproduce this behaviour.  The issue has been sent to our development team.
