Playing Video from HTTP inside the app

All

 

           I need to play a video from the HTTP inside the blackberry app. I used the code from the following link

          I changed the path player = Manager.createPlayer(http://server/virtualDir/Sample.wmv);

 

          Nothing is happening to me. Can anyone plz help me how to play the video

First of all ,chk with supported media types within Blackberry and then check it.

Try to debug and check if any exceptions occur. Also check these tutorials:

Thanks for your reply.

 

I tried debug, am getting "Local connection timedout after 12000" in the below line.

 

player = Manager.CreatePlayer(http://server/virtualdirectory/sample.wmv);

 

The format ( WMV ) that am trying will be supported.

 

Can you plz help me to find out what am missing here..

Hi

 

       This resolves the above issue adding deviceside=false. But now am getting HTTP response 413 ( entity too large ) error . As far i googled, it says by default it will accept only <123kb files. But my video is about 700 KB. What i found is i need to update the maximum size in BES management console. Is this the case only for the simulator.

 

       What abt the device..
