Playing back and Recording PCM on an unlocked CDMA phone.

[ Edited ]

Anyone tried this yet? A CDMA phone unlocked and currently on a GSM network. Can this phone do duplex audio? I have no problem doing duplex audio with AMR if the phone is running OS 6 or later. However, we just can't get PCM to work, even the phone is unlocked.

Re: Playing back and Recording PCM on an unlocked CDMA phone.

Hello again Aviator168!

Audio capabilities are almost entirely related to hardware ability, not so much BlackBerry OS version.  I am pretty sure that if the phone could not support PCM audio for either record and/or playback before unlocking it cannot do so after either, regardless of network, unfortunately.

Of course I haven't tried personally, but knowing how things work under the covers I can't see how unlocking the phone or changing the network would make a difference here, if it was not working before the change...
