When running a MIDlet on some BlackBerry® 6.0 devices, a pop-up menu may be displayed by tapping (or holding) the touch screen. On devices that support a trackpad or trackball it may be displayed by clicking (or holding)  the trackpad or trackball.

The Pop-up Menu is a new feature of BlackBerry 6 and was only intended for applications that implement the RIM BlackBerry User Interface. On earlier versions of BlackBerry 6.0 this may be automatically enabled for MIDlets. This feature causes MIDlet commands to appear as a pop-up menu when the user interacts with the trackpad or touchscreen.

For more information on the Pop-up Menu, refer to the 6.0 UI Guidelines.

The Pop-up menu has been disabled for all MIDlet applications in later versions of BlackBerry 6.0.

If you want to take advantage of this type of menu, you will have to port your application user interface to a BlackBerry Java Application.
