Purging stale user setting entries?

I noticed that once I've installed my application on the specific device, the application either takes very long to launch, or doesn't launch at all, and I have to reset the device by removing the battery.

I decided to attach a debugger and debug the application, and see a lot of the following in the logs:

Purged 1 stale user setting entries. 15485 ms.

Does anyone know what this means, and how to stop it. The application does not start up at all when debugging, yet the icon is visible in the "Running applications" list.

The device im using is the Bold 9780, OS 6 (Bundle 905) v6.0.0.294, Platform

Re: Purging stale user setting entries?

The device could be running low on memory.  Does your application implement LowMemoryManager?  If so, is it being fired?

Is it blocking on a specific line of code?  Use the profile tool included with the BlackBerry Java Plug-in for Eclipse and BlackBerry JDE to see what methods calls in your application are taking up the most CPU cycles.
