I am linking source between 2 projects in a workspace.
There are 2 ways to do it. Either by explicit reference to the filestructure or to use variables to set fro example the workspace location.
Since this project is also shared between participants we use Subclipse. In order to avoid hard referenses to diskdrives I set up the link with variable name for the Workspace location.
Everything works fine, source gets linked
But if I check back on the "configure Buildpath" it shows the physical path including the drive letter
What is stored and transmitted via subclipse??
The relative path using the variable or the explicit path showing the drive letter??

Further investigation shows that the relative path to the linked source is at least kept when copying the workspace to another disk. So I presume it will hold when using subclipse too.
