Rad for blackberry development



i came from windows development background developing code in visual studio. so i am in the habit of drag and drop. just moved to blackberry development and started working on eclipse and blackberry skd. i tried creating a helloworld program and it looks that i need to write code even for creating ui whereas in visual studio the trend is drag and drop ui controls.


so, my question is is there any rad tool/ide in blackberry development environment which speed up the development process.


any thought process is appreciative,

First off all welcome to the forum.


I want to share a thing that I am also from the environment of Drag and Drop.

But there are no such environment for Blackberry.

you have to do code for everything.

But you will get right help from this forum which you want

Some time ago, I heard about a GUI designer. It seems to me that this tool was no shown in the recent devcon.. What happens with this ?

Yes, the BlackBerry GUI Builder was a no-show this year. Hopefully it comes out somewhat soon. In the meantime, though I haven't used it, DragonRAD (http://www.dragonrad.com/) is a pretty good application from the looks of it.
