Replace caller id

Guys, any way we can programatically replace the default caller id? I think I asked this once and I know in the past it was not possible but maybe things changed in the latest versions of the OS. This would be killer if we could add more information about the caller in the device's caller id form.

Thank you

Re: Replace caller id

Hi Mark,

Is there any way to cause the incoming call screen to be recalculated and/or re-looked up?

The following sequence gives an idea of what I'm looking for:

1) Incoming call notifies secondary application of incoming call and number.

2) ActivePhoneScreen displays information found in the PIM.

3) Secondary application modifies the information in the PIM.

$) Secondary application requests ActivePhoneScreen to perform another lookup and update with new PIM information that secondary application has just filled in.

Thanks,

DD

Re: Replace caller id

No, this is not supported either.  The PIM modification would need to occur before the call arrived in order to be shown on the incoming call screen.
