Retrieve incoming call phone number

Greetings!

Yeah! I read a lot about these subject through all this forum, but no solution so far.

We are trying to retrieve the currently incoming phone number but Phone.getCall(callId) or Phone.getActiveCall( ) are returning null, so I'm not able to retrieve the number, getDisplayPhoneNumber().

Implementing PhoneListener or extending AbstractePhoneListener the result is the same, as expected.

Our first target is Blackberry 8900 v4.6.1.250 (Platform 4.2.0.113), no success so far.

Is there any work around to sort it out?

Thanks in advance!

Re: Retrieve incoming call phone number

i use this method successfully in all kind of OS versions.

i would suggest to start an own thread, maybe you have to wait a short time, but usually a callincoming should already have an active call.

from 4.6 on the returned string may contain invalid characters (like '?'), check for these.
