I wanted to post / ask a question on SIP development on blackberry
I was going thru some posts on the forums some of them saying there is no support from RIM.
Lately i was using a SIP client called vippie voip from voip switch
if any there is no support how did this guys develop ???
has anyone got any idea on this area .. would appreciate if they could share ....

Don't know that much about SIP, but I imagine if you're willing to implement the protocol yourself you could do so provided the device initiates connections.
Judging by some of the products RIM has released (after the Ascendant acquisition) while they may not officially support the protocol for the developer community their own products use SIP. I'd have thought MVS at least would use SIP.

well i think the only way is to use my own protocol but riten now some research on how exactly it works on BB. i have a sdk for VB.NET first i will try to develop using VB.net to get some ideas but o guess
RIM does not provide any API's
But really i wonder how did the guys at voipswtich did it
if they could it on cirve 8900 that means the device initiates the connection
