Saving BasicEditFieldds locally to blackberry

Hey all,

I was wondering if it is possible to save the input from BasicEditFields locally to the blackberry.  For example, if I had username and password, then I am able to save the username so I do not have to retype it in every time I start the application.  Similar to what you see in logging into emails except instead of a check box I would be using a button "save"

Any help is greatly appreciated, thanks in advance for all your time!

Re: Saving BasicEditFieldds locally to blackberry

you can persist values using the persistance framework, see http://www.blackberry.com/developers/docs/7.1.0api/net/rim/device/api/system/PersistentStore.html and related classes.

you can also use sqlite or a file to store information, but for your usecase a persistant object would be the easiest choice.
