Re: Signing Server - Scheduled Downtime for Upgrades

Do we really have to be dependent on contacting RIM's servers for every single code signing?  Maybe developers could get a week-long lease to sign code without having to contact the servers every time?

Hi RIM

Please let us know when the signing servers are going to be available and working again.

Re: Signing Server - Scheduled Downtime for Upgrades

Can anyone confirm if there are issues with the signing servers again today?  I have been merrily signing for the past couple of months, but today it just hangs up.

Thanks,

Doug

Re: Signing Server - Scheduled Downtime for Upgrades

After a few hours of trying it appears that it may be back working again!

Thanks,

Re: Signing Server - Scheduled Downtime for Upgrades

Is the signing server down? I am getting following error for almost 6 hours:

"Error connecting to web signer from proxy"

Re: Signing Server - Scheduled Downtime for Upgrades

you can check
http://isthesigningserverdown.com/beta/

doesn't help you though, especially if you are waiting for it to sign some important release...

Re: Signing Server - Scheduled Downtime for Upgrades

This has become a fact of life for BB development.

Never schedule releases based on signing servers being up, they can be down for hours at any point in time.

Have to always schedule a window of time of at least 3-4 days to "get lucky" with them being up.
