Re: Sqlite reading database from device storage compatibility list?

SQLite databases can be stored on the micro SD card on any BlackBerry Smartphone.  Storing SQLite databases in on device memory is supported on BlackBerry Smartphones that have eMMC memory (which is similar to a build in micro SD card).  Any current BlackBerry Smartphone with 1GB or more of on device memory has eMMC memory.  This includes:

  • BlackBerry Bold 9000
  • BlackBerry Storm 9500
  • BlackBerry Storm 2 9550
  • BlackBerry Torch 9800

You can refer to the features list of the BlackBerry Smartphone pages for details.

Re: Sqlite reading database from device storage compatibility list?

Mark,

What OS 5.0/6.0 upgradable/installed devices are around today that have no eMMC or didn’t ship with a free SDCard? The Blackberry site you've provided does not always have OS info.

Our app is using SQLite DBs and we want to get a list of devices that we can support.

What's the best way to get that list?

Thanks

Michae

Mark can you please answer this question? There is no documentation that clearily defines this.
