Storm Development? Graphical applications?

Would the normal Java development kit allow you to write a graphical game like the ones that run on the IPhone? Or would you need another tool? I see 4.7 is there now. Would this allow a graphical game to be developed?

Thanks!

Re: Storm Development? Graphical applications?

Java is designed for safety, not speed but if depends on the details of the platform- is there some specific feature of

this game which you believe would be difficult under java on a RIM platfom? Is there some specific thing AAPL provides

that you absolutely think you need?

Many phones support java with a few supporting some native apps, I've written for Symbian targets in the past and compiled

a few brew apps and resource access differs. From the apps I've seen, like google maps, the capabilities are there for keyboard

and graphical control but again it depends on specifics.
