Strange message from Eclipse

I have a fairly large Midlet that gives me this error message when packaging in Eclipse:

MControll.Main_Controll: Error!: Error!: control flow verification information too large: commandAction

Doing a "Build all" in the Blackberry JDE I get no complaints

So I wonder, is there a problem in the code or in Eclipse??

Re: Strange message from Eclipse

Sounds like you have a method or some type of control loop (like a 'while') that has too many lines of code.

Try refactoring the code a little bit.

Looked in the code. Not me who wrote it. Its a beast. Curious, what does it really mean that Blackberry JDE do not complain but Eclipse does?

Re: Strange message from Eclipse

Dunno, but I've been there.

I had a class (written by somebody else) that had (among other issues) 1800 lines in a switch statement. I added 3 lines to one case and started getting the problem. When I removed the three lines, the problem went away.

Eventually had to start breaking out the logic in the case statements into separate methods, then wound up doing a deeper refactoring job anyway. I eventually got it up and compiling again.

One of those deals where the customer says "but it's only a couple of lines of code, right?"
