Total noob here.

Been a BB user/fan for years now. Only recently started wanting to make my own apps. How does one get started?

I've got the Java ME SDK and the RIM BB  JDE 4.0 installed and working just fine. Sun has some great tutorials on Java in general, but I want to learn about the BB JDE and what I can do with that. Is there a FAQ somewhere? I would hope so.

I'm really looking forward to learning this, but right now, I don't even know where to start. For example, when I start the JDE, how do I get it to automatically use the screen for the BB 8310? I can't seem to find the setting for that. Any help is appreciated.

Re: Total noob here.

I already had some experience in Java so what I did what take a look at the sample apps that comes with Rim JDE and edited them some for practice.  Google and searching the forums did wanders too.  Good luck.

This is the place Rim recommend all developers come to:

There is a "Getting Started" link on the Left.
