I'm using touch to move a cursor. In my touchEvent routine I just take the current X position of the event and update a cursor by moving it to X. What happens is the initial touch is good and the cursor jumps to the right position. Then as you keep your finger down and move the event handler only seems to get called about every 3 to 5 pixels so the cursor follows your finger but it isn't smooth.
All this is in the simulator only on 4.7 and the 9530 sim.
Anyone have experience with this and know what I might be missing?
Instead of waiting for touch events can you set up a timer and poll the position of a finger to generate updated coordinates at a faster rate?
