Undesired popup warning when opening HTTPS connection

[ Edited ]

Dear communitiy

I'm developing an app which needs to open a secure connection against a REST Service using a Verisign Class 3 Secure Server CA - G3  certificate http://www.tbs-certificats.com/FAQ/en/565.html

This certificate isn't giving problems with my browser  (for eg google chrome) so the certificate chain looks fine.

However when opening a connection from bb , both on simulator and on device, a noisy popup is displayed to the end user asking him to either trust the certificate accept or discard the connection.

Is the  problem that this type of certificate is not supported by blackberry ?

Can an application import a certificate in a transparent way for the user if I have the .cert file? (according to http://stackoverflow.com/questions/9132234/install-ssl-certificate-with-blackberry-app it seems no)

In case server needs to use other type of certificate how can I be sure that one is supported on any OS5 / OS 6 / OS7 devices ? Is there a public list of supported certificates for each OS Version?

Re: Undesired popup warning when opening HTTPS connection

I was keeping investigation this issue:

When the server side uses TLS 1.0 I don't seem to have any certificate popup

When the server side uses TLS 1.1 I seem to have certificate warning popup always on Blackberry OS 5. Popup doesn't look to appear when using on Blackberry OS 7.

Is there some issue using TLS 1.1 on OS 5?
