UnsupportedOperationException ??

Hi All,

i have developed an UiApplication, it was working fine from last 2 months. and Suddently, it starts throwing  net.rim.device.api.system.UnsupportedOperationException. i have debug the app and identified the statement from which this exception is comming.

from this statement
CoverageInfo.addListener( applicationLoader , new CoverageStatusListener(){

    public void coverageStatusChanged(int newCoverage)
    {
    if(newCoverage == CoverageInfo.COVERAGE_CARRIER || newCoverage == CoverageInfo.COVERAGE_MDS)
    {
        //do processing
    }
    }
    });

Can anyone help me to resolve the issue.

Urgent !!!

Thanks in Advance
Regards,
Vijay Saini.

Re: UnsupportedOperationException ??

Two possible sources of the problem:

  1.  CoverageStatusListener() constructor internal code
  2. " //do processing" code into "if" statement

Re: UnsupportedOperationException ??

What BlackBerry model and handheld software version are you testing with?  You can find this under Options, About on the BlackBerry.  What version of the BlackBerry JDE are you using?

You will need to create a class that implements the CoverageStatusListener interface.  It can not be directly instantiated.

Re: UnsupportedOperationException ??

Well, he's creating an anonymous inner class from the CoverageStatusListener.  Still not sure what the original problem is though.

Re: UnsupportedOperationException ??
