Update database in blackberry?

 I have requirement that is update a database at specific time ?

For that I think you have to run specific thread in background which will update your database.

Hi,

actually I need to send the data(like contacts) phone to remote area at  specific time  so that we have to schedule the time how can we do that?

If you are scheduling this from a Server, then ther are server mechanisms that can be used and you could then push this data to the phone.

 

if you are scheduling this on the phone, then you have two choices:

 

1) Have a background application that runs all the time, and checks the time and when it needs do, does the required processing.  Here is a KB article that should help set up the Application Program:

2) Use a start-up application to schedule the running of your Application at specifics times.  For more on the scheduling, see the API documentation for the ApplicationManager class.
