What can be done with Eclipse that can not be done with BB JDE

Hi guys. I am completely new to these technologies. I am trying to make a start.


Is Eclipse better than BB JDE?

yes, it is far far ahead. even without the eJDE plugin you have a lot better editing tools, refactoring, code formatting, import organizing and a multitude of tools. the jde is a tool from the 90, nowadays even advanced text editors have better features. if you don't want to use the plugin you can choose your editor freely, eclipse, netbeans, whatever, but i doubt the sanity of developers writing their code in the jde. the new plugin offers hot code replacement, a feature we wished for a long time. if you don't use it you have to restart the simulator for each small change, taking between one and three minutes.
