Which is better for BB : Persistent storage, MIDP record store, XML format

What is the better way to store data on the BB device. Is it persistent storage, using MIDP record store or in a XML format.

I have 2 separate requirements

1) storing a free flow text. The user may enter text in a text box and that text should be stored
2) storing data in table like structure. Table means with rows and columns. Which should be easy to update/delete/insert/retrieve the data/records on BB device.

  1. If you need just to store the text - I recommend to use text files.
  2. To implement a searchable table - create your own Table class and use PersistentStore. Do not forget about Object Grouping. Also I recommend to check the following link: Memory Best Practices.

XML can be useful in cases you want to transfer your data from yor device to the remote server or to the desktop computer. XML is the best choice as a data carrier. But it is not a good choice if you want to implement a fast searchable storage.
