Wifi randomly takes a long time to connect

I've been running into issues on 8900 and 9000 devices in which they've taken very long periods of time (eg > 1 min) to open a wifi connection.

This has occurred on a working private WIFI network (with the router being ~5 ft away) and on a public network so I don't believe it is the WIFI itself that is to blame. I've verified the private wifi to be working on 2 separate computers.

The code I am using to open the connection is this:

Connector.open(url + ";deviceside=true;interface=wifi;ConnectionTimeout=15000;", Connector.READ_WRITE, true)

Is this code correct and has anyone else run into similar issues?

Thanks in advance.

Re: Wifi randomly takes a long time to connect

Try removing the trailing semicolon from the URL -- on some platforms this causes the parameter parser some grief. Not sure whether this'll help here, but, may be, some parameters are currently ignored, so, your device isn't actually connecting via TCP over WiFi at all...
