blackberry source

hi guys

is it possible to get the blackberry source somewhere?

I have the problem that when using tableview and do useFixedHeight(false), I receive an indexoutofboundexception in some blackberry class. when useFixedHeight(true) it works. So I would like to debug through and therefore I would need the sources...

is there a location to download these?

thanks

Re: blackberry source

blackberry OS is not open source, you cannot download any sources.

if you think you found a bug you can report it here:

Re: blackberry source

Re: blackberry source

the pre-made managers all have limitations.

you are correct about your assumption, if a bug is tackled at all it will be closed in a future release. nonetheless you should report bugs, better to get rid of them someday than never.

you can use an own layout manager to arrange your items exactly as you want:

Re: blackberry source

it's clear that bugs have to be reported, no doubt.

I don't want to create own managers if the framework offers tables and stuff to me, what would we need a framework then?

it must be possible to use variable high within the tables, otherwise they would not have the properties for it...

Re: blackberry source

Unfortunately, there is sometimes a difference between what the framework says it provides and what it provides, I'm sure you have bugs in your own code from time to time.  So you may well find that your code does work correctly on a later version (assuming you have reported the problem and RIM have fixed it).  But that is not going to help current users on current levels of OS.
