i'm using BlackBerry JDE 4.2.1 .
i want to write a common piece of code in try-catch to check whether the phone supports video camera or not..
catch block will show a pop-up message if video-camera is not supported.
problem is that, i cannot use ARG_VIDEO_RECORDER since compiler gives an error of 'not found' .
so is there any way to check facility video recording in phones >= 4.2.1 OS?

hi, in the BB API there is a DeviceInfo class which has hasCamera() method. take a look at it:
public static boolean hasCamera()Determines if this device has a camera Returns: True if this device has a camera Since: JDE 4.2.0

i tried DeviceInfo.hasCamera().
it gives true if camera is supported even though Video capturing is not supported.
but i want to specifically check if Video Camera is supported or not..
any solution for it?
