getSnapshot discrepancies using Tour vs. Torch

I am getting a snapshot using the following encoding:

Using the (roughly) the same picture (I've tried this multiple times) the Tour routinely returns 14k bytes whereas the Torch returns 138k bytes.  I could see them being off by that factor if I was using different resolutions or different pictures, but how can this be??

Re: getSnapshot discrepancies using Tour vs. Torch

I solved this by doing:

for (int i =0; i < 5; i++) {

try { Thread.sleep(500);} catch(Exception ex) {}

For some reason the viewfinder just won't disappear on the Torch as I close the screen.

This works but I have no clue as to why it needs to done :-(
