Has anybody tried to use glDrawTexiOES on the Bold 9900 or a BB os 7 device?
I tried the code from RIM's tutorial at the link below and it does not work. In fact the simulator runs the code with the texture upside down and the real device does not show the texture. The real device only show one color from the texture. For example, the texture I want to display uses mostly green colors but the device only show a plain solid green texture.
I have tried several approach to draw fast 2D images using Opengl ES and it seems it is impossible to get a 60 FPS render displaying a 640*480 2D image. I have a hard time believing this when I am using a 1.2ghz 3D accelerated chip that represent the current BB flagship.
UPDATE: I use a Bold 9900 OS 7.1 Bundle 1310 (v188.8.131.521,Platform 184.108.40.2069). IDE is BB Java SDK version 220.127.116.11 with BB Java Plug-in version 18.104.22.168204302029
