how to read the version number from the ALX file

hi , i want to read the version number from the alx file when the user loggedin

in to my application

can anyone tell me
how to read the alx file ?

bad luck is there any ways to use the codemodule manager in JDE 4.2.1

when i try implementing this im getting a null pointer exception

if u want to know the verrsion,just use ApplicationDescriptor.currentApplicationDescriptor().getVersion()

 im getting the value as 0.0 but in the JAD file it is 1.0

I have tested it on 8800 and 8300.And i have put the version number under General opion(properties).And getting the exact no.Can you please check it the version number under General opion and more one thing delete jad file and compile it.Sometimes nothing has not updated in jad filed although you change the setting..
