how to set the text value for the ObjectChoice field ?

hi all how to set the text value for the ObjectChoice field ?

 

i have a ObjectChoice field

based on the user's selection

if it is edit we can select the datas

from the choice, if it is view i need to disable the choice field and need to

set the text value on it

 

for the normal editText i does like this and it worket

 

fieldName.setText("blackberry");

howto set for object choice field?

If you're using ObjectChoiceField then there is an array of objects that passed as a parameter to a constructor.

 

There are several ways to set the value to ObjectChoiceField instance.

 

Via constructor (use initialIndex parameter in one of constructors, or pass an object reference from the objects array).

 

Via method: setSelectedIndex(int index);
