how to simulate microphone on simulator?

Hi,

I am making an application that records sound from microphone. How to test it on simulator?what changes needed to be done in simulator options.Also I want to know that how can I get value of the constants filed like AUDIO_PATH_HANDSFREE returns what int value?is there any definition in aPI??

you have to test it on the real device.

i would suggest to use another audio source until the rest of the app is complete.

ok,but how can i know values of each constant.right now I am getting value 1 using getaudiopath() before setting path to handsfree.

The simulator can easily simulate the microphone for you. The audio coming from the simulated microphone will be the same audio that you PC's microphone is capturing. You simply need to get a simulator where audio capture works OK. For example, the Curve 8900 simulator that somes with JDE v4.6.1.
