What BlackBerry handheld software version are you testing on? You can find this under Options, About on the BlackBerry Smartphone. What version of BlackBerry Java SDK or BlackBerry JDE are you using?
Is any exception thrown? If so what are its .toString details? What line of code is triggering it?

I wasn't able to reproduce this. Make sure that you are pointing to the correct folder. Pictures are organized into different folders now.

Pictures can exist in multiple locations. To find out where a picture is stored open it on the BlackBerry Smartphone and then choose Properties from the menu. It'll appear something like "/Media Card/BlackBerry/camera". For an application, this will equate to "file:///SDCard/BlackBerry/camera".
