keyChar method

Hello friends,

 

I used below method to get key event.

 

protected boolean keyChar(char c, int status, int time) {

 

}

 

It worked in all devices.

But I tried to get same event in Device 9850...

I did not get any event for that.

so if any one has any idea help me...

could you provide some context?
i use keychar on touch devices such as the 9850 without any issues.
only devices with limited keyboards (like a pearl) have some special cases.

I 9850 device there is no Keypad.if we want to write something in any textbox/editfield we have to open Virtual Keyboard...

So when I wrote something using VirtualKeyboard I can write..But I need to stop some char in that textbox/editfield.

So I use bellow method.

 

protected boolean keyChar(char c, int status, int time) {

 

}

 

It worked in all device except 9850...

So if any one has any idea plz help me...

Hi,

Also try to use keyUp or keyDown.

 

And try to debug it..
