Your 2nd piece of debug log snippet is the correct one. I'm not sure how did you get the 1st one but it definitely looks strange.
I also tested the StrawBerry app on a real Torch running 6.0 but everything is fine.

It looks like a CSS issue.
Have you tried it on a real device?
And what is the version of the simulator that you are using?
Could you also try to download and install the latest version of the Torch simulator and test again?

Thanks for the response, as I said earlier I'm not ruling out that I might have made a mistake building this app myself.
Would it be possible for you to post the binary cod/jad file for the app you tried on the Torch? It would really help us diagnose this issue. Could you also tell me the version, bundle, platform etc numbers for the device you tried?
Thanks so much.

Here are the JAD and COD files which were directly compiled from the sample app "StrawBerry" bundled in the version 0.3.5 of the SDK.
I tested it successfully on both Torch simulator (184.108.40.206) and real Torch device (220.127.116.11 - Bundle 695).
No problem running on a couple of 5.0 devices too.

Hi David, thanks so much for posting those.
I tried that app on two physical Torch devices, and I saw the problem I described on both of them. One of them is running an older OS bundle, but I think the other is running the same version you are running:
Here's a little more info, after seeing the behavior I described (user sees the default FB login page and not the OAuth client side flow, then sees their FB home page after logging in) if I quit the app, then start it again, the app seems to work -- it catches a URL with the "access_token" string and shows the main screen of the StrawBerry app.
Here's the output of that session:
2011-02-17 12:05:45 [DEBUG] BF-Navigate: http://www.facebook.com/dialog/oauth?scope=publish
_stream,offline_access&redirect_uri=http://www.fac ... 2011-02-17 12:05:45 [DEBUG] Access Token not found. 2011-02-17 12:05:47 [DEBUG] BF-Navigate: http://www.facebook.com/login.php 2011-02-17 12:05:47 [DEBUG] Access Token not found. 2011-02-17 12:09:05 [DEBUG] BF-Navigate: http://www.facebook.com/home.php 2011-02-17 12:09:05 [DEBUG] Access Token not found. (Quit the app and started again here) 2011-02-17 12:10:21 [DEBUG] BF-Navigate: http://www.facebook.com/dialog/oauth?scope=publish _stream,offline_access&redirect_uri=http://www.fac ... 2011-02-17 12:10:21 [DEBUG] Access Token not found. 2011-02-17 12:12:01 [DEBUG] BF-Navigate: http://www.facebook.com/connect/uiserver.php 2011-02-17 12:12:01 [DEBUG] Access Token not found. 2011-02-17 12:12:24 [DEBUG] BF-Navigate: http://www.facebook.com/connect/login_success.html #access_token=153555168010272%7C52f9df0e5cc40c81ca ... 2011-02-17 12:12:24 [DEBUG] access_token = 153555168010272%7C52f9df0e5cc40c81cab9d679-1000018 55241057%7CjlsqfwGCFG3yDFcwnWaGXcv2pX8 2011-02-17 12:12:24 [DEBUG] Access Token found !!!
Another question for you David, What does the LoginScreen look like for you? Are the text fields cut off?
When we browse to the following URL in the standalone browser:
the browser redirects properly. So it seems to be something to do with the BrowserField in the LoginScreen.
Please give any suggestions you have, at the moment we're dead in the water on this FB SDK.

I need some help with facebook SDK 0.3.5 authentication, been stuck with this for 3 days.....Need to finish up the app for a clas project
So I have been following the direction exactly and was able to get into the login page, but things went awry afterwards. Here is the log output of the facebook SDK:
2011-02-17 17:42:40 [DEBUG] BF-Navigate: http://www.facebook.com/dialog/oauth?scope=publish

The last URL is really weird, http://www.facebook.com:443/connect
I notice from other posts that they don't have the ":443" port after facebook.com
This URL is invalid and would give me an error message "Error can't navigate to".
So I messed around with the login screen and manually remove the ":443", but all it does is that it takes me back to the login page!
Any idea what's happening?

is it the same for you?

> also feel free to ask spacemanake. He really got to be good at fb sdk while fighting with some issues.
I don't know if this was a joke or not... but I'm still fighting with these issues!
In rkidarsa's case, unfortunately I have no idea what's going on.
