Re: numeric only customEditField not working

[ Edited ]

I tried it again, this time not using the customeditfield. I copied and pasted

Private EditField editField = new EditField("", "0", EditField.DEFAULT_MAXCHARS, FOCUSABLE | FILTER_NUMERIC);

It is still underlining FILTER_NUMERIC for some reason. "FILTER_NUMERIC cannot be resolved to a variable" Why is this working for other people and not me?

Re: numeric only customEditField not working

Re: numeric only customEditField not working

try this in your editField, this edit field only allow 0-9 and back space

editField = new EditField("","Enter Telephone", 27,FIELD_VCENTER|EditField.NO_NEWLINE|EditField.EDITABLE)
            {
                public void paint(Graphics g)
                {
                    getManager().invalidate();
                    super.paint(g);
                }
                protected boolean keyChar(char key, int status, int time) {
                    if(((int)key>=48&&(int)key<=57)||((int)key==8)){
                        return super.keyChar(key, status, time);
                    }else{
                        return true;
                    }
                }
            };
