I send mails from the blackberry inside our application. The format for outgoing plain-text-messages which BES (or Exchange) by default uses is multipart. One part in html and one part in plain-text. Is there any "magic" parameter which forces plain-text-mails not to send multiparted?
Who is responsible for formatting in multipart?
Is it the handheld or BES or Exchange?

So is there any way to force it to plain text only? Either doing something on BES or Exchange?
If the mail is in multipart, pop3 server will convert it into html format with font size = 2...which is relatively small, so i prefer keeping everything from blackberry to be in plain text.

Are you programmatically creating the email message or sending them from the BlackBerry Messages application? Programmatically you have control over this. There are no options to configure this from the Messages application, where messages are always sent as plain text email messages.

I am not writing any blackberry application, i just send the message from my blackberry device using the traditional way, but the message ends up in my exchange as a multipart/alternative message. I thought it should be in plain text.
