"Garbage collect starting"

Hi:

Have anyone ever seen the "Garbage collect starting" message on JDE title bar when simulator is starting up.

It lasted all night.

And I also tried to change the simluator model, the problem still exists.

Thanks!

Re: "Garbage collect starting"

Most probably there is something wrong with bb apps which run on bb simulator start.

Clean up your simulator folder. Open your simulator folder, located at JDE/simulator and run clean.bat located into this folder.

when you're running clean.bat jde and simulator have to be shut down.

1. How many JDE's do you have installed on to one computer ? If more than one - does another JDE installation behave in the same manner ?

2. What version of JDK are you using with this JDE ?

3. Tell me also the version of  the "problem" JDE.

Re: "Garbage collect starting"

You may have set the BlackBerry JDE to break when garbage collection starts.  To check this click on the Debug menu, select Breakpoint and check to see if the Break before or after garbage collection options are enabled.
