setPhoneRingTone not working

Hi all - I am setting the phone ring tone using the NotificationManager.setPhoneRingTone method. The ringtone set appears as the phone ringtone under the profiles phone setting. When calling the phone, however, a different ringtone plays (the standard BlackBerry one).

Has anyone succeeded with this call?

I am working off a Tour 9630, v4.7.1.40

This was tested on the emulator which worked.

Thanks

Re: setPhoneRingTone not working

I have the same problem with this API on BB 9500 (4.7.0.78).

I think I know the reason. If you have a custom ringtone set for the contact - then you will hear this ringtone instead of the one set by NotificationsManager.setPhoneRingTone().

If you don't have the custom ringtone set for contact - you will hear the ringtone set by  NotificationsManager.setPhoneRingTone().
