the maximum size of the file that can be uploaded or downloaded

Hello All,

I use JSR-172 now.

Could you teach the maximum size of the file that can be up-loaded from the device to web services via BES?
Moreover, please teach the maximum size of the file that can be downloaded at the same time.

Thanks,

Re: the maximum size of the file that can be uploaded or downloaded

The BES imposes a limit on the http content size. The limit is set by the BES admin. The default can be 128KB or more with the latest BES versions. Usually if you exceed the size limit, you will get the error 413.

Not all BES have this limit set. It depends on the carrier you are using ( if you are using a BES from a carrier).

Anyway, to be safe, you need to upload and download files in chuncks such as 64KB or 128KB etc ...

This is how I solved this problem.

Re: the maximum size of the file that can be uploaded or downloaded

Hello,

Thank you for advice.
I will upload or download chunck data of 64KB or 128KB a connection.

By the way, do you know a maximum size or a minimum size of download or the up-loading that the BES manager can set to the configuration of BES?

Maybe, Is it 1,024KB?
