wireless ad-hoc application

Dear,

I am new to the development process and I would like you

to help me get to my objective thanking you all in advance ..

I have a project to connect BlackBerry devices and transfer

data accross them using the wifi network, and then try to

link devices that are out of range through intermediate devices

Is that all possible or there are some limitations ?

Please provide me with any relevant links and readings

so that I start building on that knowledge

Thanks all,

Hussam M.

I understand APN-TCP is IP to IP. So this may suit your requirements. So.. lookup a tutorial to do a network connection using TCP. Once you have that mastered I would look into the TransportDetective and URLFactory Blackberry classes which provide you with the ability determine the availability of network transports available on the said device.

I hope this helps.

Re: wireless ad-hoc application

As far as I know BlackBerry Java handhelds do not support Ad-Hoc connections so you would have to have a router, etc to be able to connect them.
