Call.phoneNumber() doesn't return phone number

I am trying to use the new method Call.phoneNumber() that was introduced in 10.3:

https://developer.blackberry.com/native/reference/cascades/bb__system__phone__call.html?f=Call#funct...

Even though I added the read_phonecall_details permission as per the documentation, I am still not receiving the phone number of outgoing calls placed on the device. Calling Call.phoneNumber() returns an empty string.

I am using the 10.3 simulator (10.3.0.698) with Momentics 2.1 and am placing the calls using the Controller.

Has anyone had success getting the phone number? Any ideas on how to make this work would be appreciated.

Re: Call.phoneNumber() doesn't return phone number

This is a known issue in the simulator, but does work correctly on a real device.  The bug is logged in Issue Tracker here:  Call.phoneNumber() always returns empty string in the simulator
