Camera pictures not being saved in proper folder??

I have a SD card and have the camera set to save pictures/videos to the SD cards.  The problem now is that if my app takes and saves a picture it goes onto the device instead of the SD card as the user requested.

Has anyone seen this?  Is there something I am missing?  Is this by design or a bug?

Re: Camera pictures not being saved in proper folder??

are you using c++ or qml camera control?

If you use c++ you can control where to write the jpg.

for QML saves to the camera folder and I think only the Camera app uses the save sd card feature.  Not really sure.

Re: Camera pictures not being saved in proper folder??

Thanks....Using QML.  Camera api  capturePhoto()  should save it to the same place as the Camera app and the one that the user has already selected....if not I have no idea where to save it and have to ask the user again in the app.

Re: Camera pictures not being saved in proper folder??

in your qml just call a c++ func or check the filepath in qml and then rename to the sd card.

that is the work around i would do.

Re: Camera pictures not being saved in proper folder??

Ok..thx.  I guess I'll have to ask the user in settings so they know where to look for the pictures .... if I save them on the SD card but they want them on the device they won't be happy.  Thanks.
