Given that Cocos2d-X is a framework for crossplatform dev't for 2D graphics apps, I think it will be great if RIM could add a functionality in the NDK to create Cocos2d-X apps from a template as in Xcode.

It's a good suggestion and we'll certainly be lookinga at it. Meahwhile, checkout this sample: https://github.com/blackberry/Cocos2D-X
Also, a blog post on Cocos2Dx How-To-Develop a game from scratch will be comming in the next couple of weeks or so.

You may also want to have a look at the above link. A geek hacking on how to integrate Cascade and Cocos2d-x. I think its a project worth supporting to ease life for bb10 developers.
