It will be, it's just not there yet.

So I successfully linked the old and new but now it created another issue.

When I try to create a new debug token I am getting "Specified CSK password is not valid" I think momentics is still trying to use the old CSK password which is different from the new one. I had the save password checked previously and cannot find where to change that.

Your old password could be cached.  Go to the Window menu, choose Preferences, type Password and on the secure storage option click the Clear Passwords button.

After I had linked my old signing key to bbid token, I successfully signed the same version of the application the second time.

I checked two bar files for difference: Package-Author-Id, Package-Author-Id, Package-Name, Package-Id, Package-Version are the same.

I'm worrying about possible issues when users will be updating. Should I use the old singing key for existing applications?

You can use your new key, there won't be issues for upgrades after your account is linked.  Since you see the same Package-Author-Id it confirms you've linked correctly.

What will happen if we create a BBIDtoken, connect that to the existing token we already use for many apps, then we install Momentics on other computers, run the deployment setup wizard , it will ask to setup a new BBidtoken password, we enter again.. forgetting to just restore from the backup... ... Momentics then receives keys... and say things are ok on the new machine...

Will there be any issues now with different tokens, or will the new installation automatically get the same as connected from the old computer?

Can this is any way prevent us from uploading new builds of our apps to vendor portal?

The linking process connects your current code signing account to your BlackBerry ID account on our end.  So you can download a new BlackBerry ID with a different password at any time and be able sign applications that can be used as upgrades.

Re: Code Signing Keys Be Gone! Welcome BlackBerry ID

I'm on a Mac.

I downloaded my new BBID token and placed it where the directions said to; "~/Library/Research In Motion"

Now I opened Terminal but want to do it right. I plan on using this code:

blackberry-signer -linkcsk –bbidtoken <BBID Token CSK filename>
-oldcskpass <Legacy CSK password> –bbidcskpass <BBID Token CSK password

I have 10.2 SDK along with:

Applications-bbndk-host_10_1_0_231-darwin-x86-usr-bin-blackberry-signer
Applications-bbndk-host_10_1_0_132-darwin-x86-usr-bin-blackberry-signer
Applications-bbndk-host_10_0_9_534-darwin-x86-usr-bin-blackberry-signer

but I don't see the directory for 10.2

My question is: which directory do I cd into? Does it have to be the 10.2 bin? Or can it be any of those bin directories I listed above? And also, where is the 10.2 bin directory? I have it on the latest Mometics I'm using but don't see the bin directory for it anywhere on my mac.

Re: Code Signing Keys Be Gone! Welcome BlackBerry ID

You should see a 10.2 folder if the BlackBerry 10.2 SDK is installed.  To add it click on the Help menu in the BlackBerry Native SDK and choose Update API Levels.

Re: Code Signing Keys Be Gone! Welcome BlackBerry ID

Thanks. Found the bin here:

/Applications/Momentics.app/host_10_2_0_15/darwin/x86/usr/bin

Did the code and success:

"Info: CSK successfully linked to BBID"

Re: Code Signing Keys Be Gone! Welcome BlackBerry ID

didn't work for me, it says everytime that --  might be password is wrong.

when i tried to sign app using old key, it popup for password everytime but did not sign. and I know that my password is correct.

from site it has generated new author.p12 and has different ID and linking to old ID.

what is other method?

Re: Code Signing Keys Be Gone! Welcome BlackBerry ID

Are you sure the password is correct? I was also sure of that and then I realized that the new BBID-token-password has a maximum of 10 characters (don't how why they would do that…), so I entered the first 10 chars and it worked Smiley Happy
