Custom Credentials Dialog - Part 2 BBJam Conf APP HowTo's

As you probably know, I'm the developer of this years BlackBerry Jam Asia Conference APP,

so first time ever we had a Cascades Conference APP.

I was asked by develiopers if the APP will be Open Sourced. Unfortunately this isn't possible:

The Conference APP contains access to API's under NDA.

Thanks to BlackBerrry I'm allowed to make parts of the APP Open Source, talk about Tips & Tricks and more.

So I started a series ob Blog Posts and the first one covers HowTo display a localized EULA Dialog at first startup of the App. See this thread.

Here's part#2: HowTo create and use a Custom Credentials Dialog.

Find the Blog Post here: http://appbus.wordpress.com/2013/10/29/conference-app-secrets-2-custom-credentials-dialog/

and the Sample App at GitHub here: https://github.com/ekke/cascades_credentials_prompt

To see it all in-Action in a real-life App please download the BlackBerry Jam Asia App here:http://appworld.blackberry.com/webstore/content/19600179

Expect every one or two weeks the next part. At the moment I have planned:

  • InvokationFramework used for 'Social' Tab of Conference App
  • Caching Strategies to provide a performant App
  • Why and HowTo use JSON files to store data
  • Filtering GroupDataModels
  • Be Dynamic: HowTo create Pages like the Sessions Overview with Rooms / Timeline
  • ActiveFrame with random content

Feel free to add your wishes here what should be covered.

have fun.
