DataSource might be an unknown or custom component. It's properties are not validated.

Hi,

I found what looked like what I had been trying to do...data sources from QML.

So I find this documentation: https://developer.blackberry.com/cascades/documentation/device_platform/data_access/using_data_sourc...

I followed it all the way. But when I launch my app, I get my app but no list in it. The background is white. All my tabs and actions items show. Just no list!

DataSource {
                            id: dataSource
                            source: "assets/countries.json"
                            remote: false
                            onDataLoaded: {
                                dataModel.insertList(data);
                            }
                        }

There is an "i" next to the DataSource implementation in the IDE that says: "DataSource might be an unknown or custom component. It's properties are not validated."

So what gives, any ideas?

Never mind. I'll reply.

The source should not have the "assets" before the json file. The API reference clearly states: In QML, this path is relative to the QML document in which this DataSource is declared.

My json file was in the assets folder, so no need to prefix it.
