I'm working on a barcode scanner application and trying to decipher BBM invitation qr codes. Is there any documentation on them? I couldn't find any.
1) BBM invitation QR code contents look like this:
Where xxxxxxxx is the PIN (it's repeated at the end), and yyyyyyyy is unknown alphanumeric combination.
2) BBM group invitation has a complex format which I can't decipher at all. This is an invitation to my test group:
bbg:%+3JHCY7ETK:Z1F$H$ET E/DCOUE.I*E%B2.4+HYHFD3C 5BQ9J6D CBD3%RCZ4JK.P%E3B4DDW2GCJZ-3FFADWJ
Any information is much appreciated.

I don't have documentation to share for this. The group is encoded and contains information that uniquely identifies the group. But only a member of that group can invite others to it. What would be the use case for decoding it?
Also, congrats on your 1,000th post.

I'm trying to connect all QR code types to appropriate system actions in my Barcode Scanner app. When user scans BBM or BBM group invitation I can't do anything with that data, only suggest the user to open BBM and rescan the code using embedded QR code scanner.
Ideally the app would show who's inviting him. If the user decides to process the invitation, it would open BBM and pass the scanned data to it.

You could alert the user to open the QR Code Scanner based off the "bbm:" and "bbg:" at the start of the string. Unfortunately there isn't much of a better way to handle that today.
