Develop Qt/C++ App for PlayBook

Hi all, after a loong (and useless) wait for BB10 to support my PlayBook, I dediced to not wait anymore and start developing some apps in C++ and Qt.

My problem is that I cannot find any example of a simple C++ or Qt project for PlayBook. The New Project wizard produces only empy project if i select a C++ project, so I'm asking here if someone has some more references/templates for building a generic C++ app for playbook or, even better, a Qt project template for PlayBook.

I tried to modify some C project templates, include Qt headers, but i got tons of errors and now I'm lost.

Thanks for your help, cheers.

Qt and C++ (did you mean Cascades which is basically those two combined) is not available on PlayBook.

@matizeitune I don't see how that is relevant?

Hi Polentino,

I shared your thoughts too. I really want to learn more Qt and Digia, the new owner of Qt, is making sure it goes cross platform, from mobile to desktops and for me that's a huge plus.

Since the Playbook is a dead end I'm trying not to care about it anymore. But it's such a wasted potential... anyway.

The first place to start is here: http://qt-project.org/wiki/QNX

And you can also join the IRC channel for some live interactions: #qt-qnx

Good luck!

There's still Marmalade, or pure C++ when working with the native SDK

I'm a bird from outer space. But I'm not flappy o.o
